Before there was DAUSD, there was a little boy carrying a sketchbook everywhere he went.
Long before social media, beauty, or fashion campaigns, I was the kid getting in trouble for drawing designs during class instead of paying attention. Every page was filled with ideas—from dramatic architectural gowns and fantasy silhouettes to the simplest everyday pieces. Designing wasn’t a hobby. It was the way I saw the world.
My mom would take me to fabric stores, and I was completely mesmerized. I would spend hours touching every fabric, dreaming about what it could become. Silk and faux fur were always my favorites. Even when money was tight, she did everything she could to save enough for a few yards of fabric because she believed in my dream before anyone else did.
Those fabrics became dresses for my little cousins, handmade coats, and countless creations stitched together with imagination, determination, and a child who simply couldn’t stop creating.
As life led me into beauty, that love for fashion never disappeared. It simply evolved.
Today, DAUSD is the home for everything I’ve always dreamed of creating.
